A favorite cartoon character for most of us, Mickey Mouse turned 87 this November. He is one of the three characters, (the other two being Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse), who have birth dates as per the Walt Disney studios.

Four facts about this wonderful character who has fascinated multiple generations:
- Mickey Mouse was not an instant hit. It took many years before his movies were a hit.
- At age 15 Mickey Mouse had an Academy Award for his work in ‘Lend a Paw’!
- He even has a name on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.
- In 1928 it took $2500 to make a Mickey Mouse movie(about $35000 today)
